The kids first yard campout

Kim spent the better part of the day mowing the lawn. She wanted to get it finished. We have a fire pit in the back yard. It hasn’t been used since we started living here. She resurrected it during her yard work and the kids had a weenie roast. The neighbors came over (Zach and Abram) and one think lead to another and before I knew it, they were setting up the tents in the yard. Zach (9) and Abram (6) are really nice. All the kids play really well together. Caleb, Harrison, Zach and Abram started out in one tent, Lundi and Lauren in the other. It’s now 10:30 at night and one by one, Lauren, Abram and Harrison all went home to sleep inside. They’ve finally quieted down. They’ve been noticing the stars. They’re particularly bright tonight. I love the stars. I love the kids. (Mike).

UPDATE:
They all came in by 2:30 in the morning It started raining and they didn’t have the rain tarp over the top. (hehe).

Norman Stanton, Jenifer (Smith) Sicard

I got a phone call from Norman Stanton today. One of his neighbors of about eight years is my cousin Jennifer (Smith) Sicard. She was at Norman’s house yesterday and were talking about this Mike Smith who lived in Old Orchard Beach in a green house. They soon discovered the connection and I got to talk to both of them in one phone call on Easter. I found Norman working for the National Guard, married and has a two-year-old daughter. Jennifer is working, married and has a ten-year-old daughter. What a small world!

Shannon came to visit

The kids call Steve, “Uncle Steve.” I think that’s neat since he’s not even my brother. Shannon came to visit (Steve’s wife) on Sunday. We had a blast. This week we meet up with Todd Petit (wife and 4 kids), Jason Swiesz (mom and 3 kids), The Taylors, Mom and Laurette. We end it with a BBQ! Should be lotsa fun! We’ll post more info on that.
